Island Games silver medallist tops standings at Peel

Robert Noon has been crowned winner of the 2025 W A Kirkpatrick Trophy.

The 2025 Island Games silver medallist took top spot with a five-shot margin from Daryl Callister in second with Paul McMullan completing the top three in third.

It's the first time Noon has claimed this particular piece of silverware having previously won the Isle of Man Championship three times in a row between 2022 and 2024.

Elsewhere the overall net was topped by Geoff Skillicorn whilst Keith Ward followed second with third spot going the way of Paul McMullan.

Isle of Man Golf Union is thanking the event's hosts Peel Golf Club for their efforts during the tournament.

The competition was held on Sunday, 10 August out in the west of the Island in what's described as good morning conditions followed by an 'unusual' wind direction throughout the afternoon.

The opening morning of the main event saw Noon shoot the best round of 69 to take a two-shot lead over three players - Ryan Jones, James Arneil and Keith Ward - on 71.

In the net competition it was Keith Ward initially leading ahead of Dave Dancox and Ryan Jones.

It was all change in the afternoon session of the main event with Callister recovering from a slow start to shoot a session-best of 68 to rise up the standings ahead of Noon and Island Games teammate Chris Kneen.

Jones and Arneil went on to record sessions of 76 and Ward a 78 as they dropped down the order.

The best of the second round in the net event went to Geoff Skillicorn who produced a strong performance on the back nine on the way to finishing top of those standings.
