First victory for Shannon at Billown
Mike Hose and Keith Shannon took the victories at the opening race of the Blackfords Pre-TT Classic on Saturday.
Hose secured the overall honours in the Office Equipment Centre 250/350cc singles race, completing the six laps around Billown in a time of 18 minutes and 24.726 seconds
He finished nearly six seconds clear of Mark Herbertson and Rich Hawkins on the 350cc machines.
Shannon was the first 250cc competitor home in eighth place (20 minutes 20.751 seconds) ahead of Charles Davies in 12th and Rod Graham in 14th.
Both men were happy with the success.
