Swan Yamaha team owner Shaun Muir has confirmed Ian Hutchinson has a new leg fracture.
It is however well away from his previous breaks, according to a statement on the team's webstite.
The Bingley Bullet is once again set to have an external fixator cage fitted, and hopes to be released from hospital as soon as possible.
The latest set-back happened when Hutchinson was taking part in a stunt rehearsal on a dirt bike ahead of the Carole Nash MCN Motorcycle show at Excel in London.
He was rushed to Coventry by ambulance, to have his leg assessed by the same surgeon involved in the 19 operations Hutchy had to repair the previous damage, which was sustained at Silverstone in September 2010.
