Scoreboards and sight screens among new items
Ground facilities at Manx cricket clubs are to benefit from a £50,000 cash injection this year.
The money has come from the International Cricket Council, thanks to an improvement in the Isle of Man's ICC ranking and growth in the sport here.
The money follows the £25,000 spent on pitch and practice improvements last year.
This latest ICC funding will see the installation of boundary ropes, electronic scoreboards and sight screens, among other things, by Durant Cricket of Leicestershire.
A total of seven sites will be visited around the Island.
Meanwhile, there is also a comprehensive schools programme in place, where all 33 primary schools have been offered the opportunity of free sessions by qualified coaches.
The association says its aim is for 5,000 children to benefit from this coaching.
