Qualifiers this weekend
Bob Cowell from Peel has had the honour of teeing off the 2017 Isle of Man Golf Championship this morning (Saturday).
Ramsey is the host club with the qualifying rounds being played on Saturday and Sunday.
It’s only the second time the men’s and women’s championships, sponsored by Grant Thornton, are being played concurrently at the same course.
It’s the 86th Island men’s championships and the 81st playing of the women’s competition.
Defending champion, five-times winner Paul Lowey, Island Games gold medal winner Alex McAuley and reigning women’s champion Breeshey Jansen are among those tipped for glory.
