Hundreds expected to take part
The Erin Bike Hut-sponsored Isle of Man Junior Fell Running Championships will be held this coming Saturday (28 September) at Bradda in Port Erin.
The championships, which are for school years two through to seven, will race over courses of varying distances according to age.
Registration will be from 12.00pm for years two, three and four, with the first race starting at 1pm.
Years five, six and seven will register from 2.30pm, with racing starting at 3pm.
A big entry is expected and will, organisers hope, match last year's record number of more than 400 runners.
Entry is advised through the schools, but will also be taken on the day.
The organising club, Manx Fell Runners, is asking everyone to park with great care.
Weather permitting, there will be a field available for parking near to the entrance to Bradda Glen, with marshals on hand for directions.
You're asked to not park in the Bradda Glen car park as there is a wedding reception on Saturday afternoon.
Manx Fell Runners is thanking Port Erin Commissioners and the Department of Environment, Food and Agriculture for access and their assistance, and to the residents of Bradda for their understanding.
