First time competing in top div for squad
The Isle of Man Men’s hockey team have finished fourth in their first campaign in the top division of the England Hockey County Championships.
Taking part in Division A of the championships on Saturday and Sunday in Nottingham, the first day saw the Manx side earn a 3-0 win over Derbyshire on day one between a narrow 2-1 loss to the hosts Nottinghamshire in their first match and a 3-0 defeat to Warwickshire in their third game of the day.
In their semi-final on Sunday the Island side were beaten 6-3 by Kent before losing out 4-2 to the UK Armed Forces in the third/fourth place play-off.
