Start of new era for Manx side
The Isle of Man squad for the Netball Europe Open has been chosen.
It takes place in Gibraltar in May, and is the Manx squad's first appearance at a major, senior tournament since breaking away from England Netball in August last year.
Captaining the side is Ballasalla's Ashley Hall, with Simcocks' Vivia Stawna as vice-captain.
The rest of the squad is: Rachel Boyd-Johnstone, Kitty Cassidy, Ellen Charmer, Chloe Swales, Natalie Swales (Simcocks); Rhian Evans, Gemma Kirkham, Jane Ryder-Clague, Lydia Shaw (SMP); and Kat Keeling (Route 1).
Non-travelling reserves are Aalish Bridson (Simcocks) and Molly Christian (Thompson).
Netball Development Officer Rachel Andrew says plenty of work is being put in to be ready for the tournament:

Football: Union Mills and Ramsey play out eight-goal thriller
