A Liberal Vannin candidate in Onchan says there is a pressing need in the Isle of Man for an opposition to the government.
Zac Hall, a 33-year-old pilot, says he strongly supports the core belief of the party in a transparent and open, democratically elected parliamentary political system, which is independent of the executive.

There are five other candidates in Onchan so far, outgoing MHKs Adrian Earnshaw, Peter Karran and David Quirk, and local commissioners June Kelly and Brian Stowell.
