Isle of Man team announced for returning Celtic Match Races

Meeting making return this month after 15-year absence

The Isle of Man team has been confirmed for the return of the Celtic Match Races later this month.

Twelve solo riders and four sidecar crews will fly the Manx flag at the meeting being held at East Fortune in Scotland on 20-21 September.

The event sees motorsport teams from the Ireland, Isle of Man, Scotland and Wales taking part in a series of races and looking to win the Celtic Sword of Honour.

It'll be the first time in 15 years the races have been held with the last coming in 2010 on the Isle of Man which the Manx hosts went on to win at Jurby.

Furthermore, it's also been announced the Isle of Man will host the races in 2026.

Among the Isle of Man's solo competitors for this year's races, Jamie Cringle and Rory Parker are due to contest the Superbike races whilst Kyle Casement and Grant Thomson are selected for the 600cc class.

Involved in the PI600's will be Lex Gaval and Paul Moorby; Francesco Faraldo and Aron Redmond are penned in for the Supertwin races.

Elsewhere, the CB500's will feature Isle of Man competitors Sam Bowers and Juan Hunter with the Juniors to include both Euan Bainborough and George Cowie.

Meanwhile, the Isle of Man's sidecar entry will feature reigning TT champions, Ryan Crowe & Callum Crowe; 2024 ARA Sidecar Centre Champions, Jim Gale & Ben Gale; TT competitors Darren Hope & Lenny Bumfrey as well as Stu Bainborough & Liam Wood.

Each solo and sidecar class also have reserve competitors listed.
