Rider has spent numerous weeks in hospital following crash at TT 2024
TT competitor Jack Petrie is hoping to return home very soon following a long spell of hospital treatment after a crash at this year's Isle of Man TT Races.
In a brief update on social media this morning (9 July), the rider from Christchurch says he's 'currently in what should be my final stay in Southampton and finally get home after seven weeks.'
He's thanking people for their support and has plans to return to racing, however Petrie adds that 'may just take a little longer with certain injuries.'
After sustaining multiple injuries in a crash at Handley's Bend during the Supertwin TT Race 2 on 8 June Petrie received treatment at Aintree Hospital in Liverpool before being transferred to Southampton Hospital closer to his hometown late last month.
