Manx competitor wins both classes without dropping a single point
One of the Isle of Man's jiu-jitsu competitors put in a flawless set of performances to take double victory in Europe this month.
Representing Summit Grappling Academy (formerly Gracie Barra), Alan Greenhalgh secured two gold medals at the BJJ Italia North Italian Cup on 13 April without dropping a single point.
In the Gi (Komono) class, he first took a commanding 6-0 win in his semi-final before winning by the same scoreline in the final itself to claim top spot.
Following that, Greenhalgh contested the Nogi division - again taking a 6-0 victory in the semi-final - before a comprehensive 7-0 win in the final to bag his second medal.
Summit Grappling Academy is describing Greenhalgh's results as a 'superb achievement' as the 12-year-old continues preparations for the BJJ British Open 2024 taking place in May.
