Manx athlete records sixth-fastest time in heats
Manx athlete Joe Reid will compete in the semi-finals of the 800m at the European Indoor Athletics Championships in Glasgow this evening.
Becoming just the third athlete from the Isle of Man to compete at a European Championship, he finished fourth in his heat.
Only the top two from each heat automatically went through, along with the two fastest runners-up. Reid's time of 1:48.56 was good enough to secure a spot in tonight's semi-finals.
Reid will be running in the second of this evening's semi-finals, which is scheduled for 6.33pm.
