Braddan racer Daniel Kneen has become the first man in history to win a Newcomers Race and then go onto take victory in the Junior Manx Grand Prix in the same year.
After a ding-dong battle with Michael Weldon in Wednesday's Junior, with the pair racing against the clock and each other on the road, matters were settled when Weldon came off on the last lap at Windy Corner.
He was taken by helicopter to Nobles Hospital with suspected wrist ankle and leg injuries.
Kneen went on to cross the line ahead of Ryan McCay and Philip McGurk.
His father Richard, himself a former competitor, paid tribute to Daniel's dedication:-
In the earlier delayed action with racing not starting until three o'clock, Blackpool's Roy Richardson made it three-in-a-row in the Junior Classic ahead of Paul Coward and Ryan Farquhar.
And in the Lightweight Classic, Ewan Hamilton defended his crown finishing in front of Peter Symes and Jonathan Cutts.
