Ravens go five undefeated after six-goal encounter
A late own goal deep into second-half stoppage time saw FC Isle of Man grab a 3-3 draw at Euxton Villa in the NWCFL Premier Division last night (4 November).
Charlie Higgins put the 'The Ravens' in front on 34 minutes after a goalmouth scramble before Joel Darley's deflected strike brought the hosts level six minutes later.
A Faris Muhammed penalty put Euxton Villa in front three minutes into the second half with FC Isle of Man's Luke Booth netting in the 54th minute to level the contest up again.
Rajwinder Uppal converted a calm finish with seven minutes of normal time left for the home side but in the 12th minute of stoppage time, an Euxton Villa defender diverted a Ste Whitley cross past his own goalkeeper to see things end all square.
Speaking to the FC Isle of Man club media at full-time, Caretaker Manager, Rick Holden was pleased with his squad's performance and believes a point is the least they deserved:
A fifth game unbeaten sees the Manx side move up one place in the table to 20th and five points clear of the relegation zone and to within a point of last night's opponents who stay 19th.
FC Isle of Man's next match will be at home against Pilkington on Saturday, 8 November, kicking-off at 6pm.
Manx Radio will be providing full live match commentary on our DAB and AM1368 channels.
