Opening day at Commonwealth Youth Games
Tara Ferguson finished 8th in the Girls Cycling Time Trial at the Commonwealth Youth Games in The Bahamas.
She was first to go down the ramp in what were described as oppressive conditions.
Her time of 15 minutes and 18 seconds was over 2 minutes more than the winning rider from Australia.
In the Boys Time Trial, William Draper finished in 10th position with Thomas Bostock in 14th place with 31 riders competing.
The swimmers all swam personal bests in the heats with Joel Watterson making it to first reserve for the final in the 50m Backstroke.
