Rider said to be 'conscious and talking'
Tonight’s Manx Grand Prix practice session has been halted due to a red flag incident.
The Senior/Classic Superbike qualifying session was stopped at 6.42pm.
Organisers have confirmed it happened at Rhencullen.
The rider involved - Jim Barnett - is reported as being 'conscious and talking'.
It's believed he suffered suspected hip and ankle injuries and is being airlifted to Noble's Hospital.
A sweeper has been sent to the area before practice can resume.
Organisers have confirmed the first session - the Senior/Classic Superbike qualifying - has now been cancelled.
It's hoped the second session of the evening - the Junior/Lightweight/Classic Senior qualifying - will take place but a time for it has not yet been determined.
