Moore on charge at Golf Championships

Quarter-finals on Wednesday evening

Douglas player Kevin Moore was in blistering form as the Grant Thornton Isle of Man Golf Championship went into the matchplay stages.

In sweltering conditions at Peel, Moore won 6&5 against Jason Cubbon.

Paul Lowey won the all-Rowany clash beating Tom Gandy 4&3.

Elsewhere, there were wins for Lee Morgan, Chris Kneen, Robert Braide, Peter Glover, Alex McAuley and Robert Noon who beat Neil Caine by one hole.

Wednesday evening's quarter-finals are:-

Robert Braide v Peter Glover

Alex McAuley v Robert Noon
