A stunning century by Gareth Morris failed to save Castletown in the Lancashire Cup on Sunday.
The Town did well to bowl out strong Bolton League side Farnworth for 273, with both Wicus Wessels and John Short taking three wickets.
With the ball, Morris had 22 knocked off his first over, but staged a great recovery to end with 2-60.
He then handed out savage treatment to the Farnworth bowlers, smashing 122 off 91 balls.
Alas he ran out of partners, Castletown ending up all out for 206.
This was a good performance from the Manx side, who battled well against a very good team.
Meanwhile, in the Standard Bank Premiership on Saturday St John's had a fine seven wicket win at Cronkbourne and Crosby pulled off a surprise win over Ramsey.
