90 crews competing
The first car will leave the TT Grandstand at just after 6.30pm this evening for the start of the Manx National Rally.
The first two stages were due to be on Marine Drive and onto the Old Castletown Road.
However, there has been drama before any wheels have been turned in anger.
A safety official has deemed the Marine Drive section unsafe so both stages will now start near Keristal and run to just before the Blackboards.
There are then further tests south of Castletown, Cringle and at St. Marks.
In all 90 crews are set to compete on Manx tarmac with the first local driver away being Stu Bainborough at number eight.
There are a further six stages tomorrow to decide the winner with Jason Pritchard and Phil Clarke trying to win for a fourth consecutive year.
Jason says he would love to taste victory again:-
