
Southern Nomads kept top spot in the Shimmin Wilson Manx Shield with a solid win over the Emerging Nomads at King Williams College.
The Nomads first string ran out emphatic 62-5 winners.
Castletown bounced back into form with a 16-13 win over Ramsey B at Poulsom Park.
Matt Sheffield and Daryl Richards both crossed for Castletown tries, with Sam Peel adding a penalty and a drop goal.
Ramsey’s tries came from James Wren and Dan Bonwick, who also kicked a penalty.
The game between Vagabonds B and Douglas B was postponed after referee Daryn Thompson sustained a nasty injury in the earlier Vagabonds Ladies game.
However, the two sides did play a friendly before decamping to Port-e-Chee, with Vagabonds running out winners 33-15.
