The Isle of Man's preparations for this year's Island Games are moving forward but there have been some challenges to navigate already.
That's according to the Island Games Association of Mann (IGAM) which is tasked with many of the logistics to get the Manx squad to Orkney for July's event.
One of the primary hurdles encountered so far is the amount of accommodation available there - something which IGAM says Orkney is working hard on to get around.
IGAM Chairman, Gary Jakeman and Secretary, Jill Gillings says whilst there are still numerous obstacles to consider they're excited to see the Manx squad showcase its abilities again on the international stage this year:
The Orkney games this summer are due to take place from 12-18 July with the Isle of Man expected to contest 11 of the 12 sports on offer.
As it stands, the only discipline the Isle of Man won't be involved in is the Lawn Bowls events.
A late addition to the Manx contingent was the women's national football team in December 2024 which - having missed out initially on the main draw in September last year - earned a space following the withdrawal of Guernsey's football squads from the games.
