Eight-time TT winner Ian Hutchinson is in a race against time to be ready to compete at TT 2012.
The Swan Yamaha rider fractured his left leg again when rehearsing ahead of this weekend's Carole Nash MCN Motorcycle show at Excel in London.
He was rushed to the Coventry surgeon who operated 19 times on his leg following the 2010 Silverstone crash where he was run over by another competitor after a fall in the wet conditions.
Ian Hutchinson, who won an historic five races at TT 2010, now faces a three-month period of recuperation after a 20th procedure.
The new break is lower down from the older more serious injuries.
