A narrow 12-5 victory over Port Sunlight saw relegation threatened Ramsey close the gap on their nearest rivals Dukinfield in South Lancashire/Cheshire Division Two.
Sunlight took an early lead through Andy Jenks but an Orry Watterson try, converted by Dan Bonwick, gave Ramsey a 7-5 half-time lead.
Fintan Cummins’ second half try sealed the result for Ramsey.
Vagabonds did themselves and Ramsey a big favour by beating Dukinfield 77-10 at Ballafletcher.
The bonus point was in the bag within 15 minutes with Vagas eventually running in 11 tries, all of which were converted by Aidan O’Shea.
Try scorers for Vagabonds were Tom Gascoyne (four), Leigh Kennaugh (two), Jo Louw (two), Lewis Kinley and Alex Collister.
The win takes Vagabonds back into the top five in Division Two.
