Twenty-year-old was youngest rider at 2026 event

Following his debut at the Isle of Man TT Races this year, Rhys Stephenson has won the RST 'Star of Tomorrow' award for the 2026 event.

The 20-year-old was the youngest rider involved in this year's racing fortnight and the award itself recognises a rider 'who shows outstanding performance, dedication and potential.'

Competing in the new-look Sportbike Class, Stephenson managed to finsh 24th in the Sportbike TT Race 1 last Friday (5 June), earning himself a bronze replica in the process.

Separately, the Sportbike TT Race 2 was cancelled due to poor weather conditions which, more broadly, saw the 2026 Isle of Man TT Races concluded early.

Stephenson joins a host of previous winners of the RST Star of Tomorrow accolade which includes solo competitors Davey Todd, Ryan Cringle, Loris Majcan and Kevin Keyes whilst local sidecar duo, Ryan Crowe and Callum Crowe have also won the honour twice.
