2015 Grand National winner dies at Cheltenham
2015 Grand National winner Many Clouds has died after beating Thistlecrack in the Cotswolds Chase at Cheltenham.
The horse is owned by Island businessman Trevor Hemmings.
The ten year-old brown gelding enjoyed a highly successful career with a 42% win rate.
Many Clouds competed in 26 races winning 11 times and finishing second on 7 occasions.
As well as the triumph at Aintree in 2015, Many Clouds also won the Hennessy Gold Cup in 2014.
Saturday's victory by Many Clouds was a first ever defeat over the fences for the highly-rated Thistlecrack.
Many Clouds went down shortly afterwards and was quickly attended to as the screens went up around him but he could not be saved.
