A safety fence will be in place in front of the scoreboard at the Grandstand in time for the start of T.T. later this month.
It follows a risk assessment study during last year's Festival of Motorcycling.
The mesh panel debris barrier will still allow spectators to view all the information on the historic scoreboard.
