Club president leaves lasting legacy
The 2017 Steam Packet Southern 100 gets underway this evening (Monday).
Roads around the Billown circuit are due to close at six o’clock until up to 9.40pm for the opening practice sessions.
The passing, on Saturday, of respected club president Derek Nicholson has cast sadness on the meeting.
Club press officer Phil Edge says he leaves a lasting legacy and would have wanted the meeting to go ahead.
