Oates triumphs at Blue Point
Kevin Oates was the winner of Ayre Clay Target Club’s Harding Lewis sponsored English Sporting League shoot at Blue Point yesterday (Sunday).
He scored 45 out of 50 to take top spot. Juan Cowley was second with 42 and there was a tie for third between Phil Butler and Alan Kinrade on 39.
Oates went on to win the 100 target selection shoot with a score of 84. Butler was second on 79 with Nigel Moffatt taking third spot with 77.

B Class: 1, Paul Magee 36; 2, Jake Brew 33; 3=, Jason Bulliment and Richie Howland 28.
C Class: 1, Fred Waggett 31; 2, Peter Chadney 26; 3, Clementine Kermode-Clague 22.
It’s the English Sporting Manx Championship at Blue Point this weekend.
There will be a work party from midday on Saturday.
