Former Island player loses out to fellow Brit Dan Evans
Former Island player Billy Harris has been knocked out in the first round of qualifying for the men's singles at this year's French Open.
Harris - who counts Albany and Castletown among his previous clubs - has been beaten in straight sets 7-5, 6-3 by fellow Brit Dan Evans at Roland Garros this afternoon (20 May).
Last year in the same qualifying tournament he came to within one win of a place in the main draw at the 'Grand Slam' before exiting in the third qualifying round.
Harris came into this week's competition ranked 103rd in the world and reached the last-16 in Bordeaux on the ATP Challenger Tour last week.
