The pair completed a clean sweep over the weekend
Island tennis players Orry Farnworth and Charlotte Clarke dominated the 2024 LTA IOM County Championship over the weekend.
The pair competed in every tournament possible as they won their respective classes and also won in the Mixed Doubles competition.
Firstly, in the Men's final, second seed Farnworth beat number one seed Sean Drewry in two sets (6-4, 6-0), whilst Clarke also dismissed Sarah Long in two sets (6-0, 6-2) to take the Women's Singles trophy on Saturday (31 August).
Farnworth and Drewery teamed up to win the Men's Doubles final in two sets (6-0, 6-0) against Kevin Drewry and Jonathon Gower-Jackson.
Elsewhere, the Women's Singles finalists Clarke and Long also joined in the Women's Doubles competition where they finished first in the standings.
Farnworth and Clarke then teamed up to win the Mixed Doubles competition as they beat Sean Drewry and Anna Kirk in two sets (6-2, 6-2) on Friday (30 August).
The competition was held between 24 August and 1 September where Senior and Junior tournaments took place the Albany Tennis Club and Douglas Lawn Tennis Club respectively.
