Shared skeet honours at Blue Point
There was a three-way tie in near perfect conditions as the Ayre Clay Target Club held two English Skeet competitions on Sunday.
The 50 target Penketh-Millar Architectural Design sponsored shoot at Blue Point was won by a three way tie between Arthur Hayes, Kevin Oates and James Simpson, all scoring 48/50.
Hayes went on to win the 100 target shoot with a score of 97.
Simpson was second on 96 with Rachael Bowen-Matthews taking third place on 95.

A Class: 1=, Arthur Hayes, Kevin Oates and James Simpson 48/50.
B Class: 1=, Ted Davis and Madeline Simpson 44; 3, Bob Corlett 40.
C Class: 1, Fred Waggett 43; 2, Mike Walker 40; 3= Jordan Dougherty and Irene Stockil 36.
This week at Blue Point there are two competitions; 50 Down the Line, sponsored by Jewsons, with entries closing at 10.15am and 100 ABT selection shoot with entries closing at 12.30pm.
