Isle of Man resident James Toseland was 6th fastest at the official three day World Superbike test session in Portugal.
The two-time Champion at this level got in plenty of laps around the circuit but finished narrowly behind Rea, Haslam, Byrne, Crutchlow and Fabrizio.
Toseland seemed upbeat saying "I'm really pleased overall. We've worked through a lot of stuff over the last three days and I feel I've got a lot more understanding of the bike. The team has worked really well and I'm pleased we've managed to keep consistent fast pace. I think there's more to come so I'm looking forward to getting started again!"
