Previous team WTF Racing cancelled road plans last month

After several weeks of uncertainty, former TT winner James Hillier has confirmed his plans for the 1000cc races at this year's event.

The rider from Ringwood will campaign Honda Fireblade machinery under the 'Muc-Off Racing' banner with the bikes provided by Alan Gardner, owner of Hillier's previous team WTF (We're The Future) Racing.

At the start of last month, WTF announced it was cancelling its road racing plans due to 'significant commercial circumstances beyond the team's control.'

Now, Hillier - who's also already secured a Supersport TT ride with Bournemouth Kawasaki - told Manx Radio he believes the tools are in place for him to be competing at the top end in 2025:

The rider's one TT win so far came in the Lightweight TT Race in 2013, since when he's gone on to produce a consistent record towards the front of the order.

Since 2012, only twice has he finished outside the top ten in the races he's completed - along with his TT victory he's also managed 18 further podium finishes between 2012 and now.

Previously, WTF Racing had been due to field both Hillier and Dominic Herbertson at the TT before its road racing plans were axed on 1 April.

Elsewhere, Herbertson confirmed his own plans last month for the TT which will see him contest the 1000cc and Supersport categories under a new squad of his own, Herbertson Road Racing Company (HRRC).
