Ramsey claim bonus point at the Mooragh
It was another long day at the office for basement battlers Vagabonds in South Lancashire/Cheshire Division Two.
They were demolished 110-6 at promotion chasing Aspull.
The Wigan side ran in 18 tries in all, while Vagabonds’ only points came from the boot of Cameron Findlay.
In Lancashire/Cheshire Division Three, Ramsey claimed their first win of the campaign with a 31-20 victory against Ormskirk.
In a tit for tat first half, Ramsey edged 12-10 in front after tries from Dave Keenan and Dan Bonwick were countered with scores from Mike Knowles and Danny Unsworth - a Bonwick conversion the only difference at the break.
The pattern continued in the second half with Ethan Benjamin crossing for Ramsey and Steve Rourke for Ormskirk.
A Dale Radcliffe try, closely followed by Bonwick’s second, gave Ramsey a clear lead and a try bonus point before Unsworth grabbed his second to give Ormskirk a try bonus point of their own.
