Vikings A demolish Bacchas A

Hands off our title!

That’s the message from the dominant force in Manx women’s hockey.

Reigning champions Vikings A launched their defence of the PWC Premier Division title after demolishing Bacchas A 13-2.

The incredible scoreline was led by Kim Carney who hit four, Sarah Blackman and 15 year-old Breesha Foxton who netted hat-tricks, another 15 year-old - Chelsea Bawden - Zoe Carrney and an own goal.

Shell-shocked Bacchas A, who were last season’s runners-up and expected to challenge for the title, replied through Chelsea Golding (two).

Mia Greenwood (two) and Danni Kelly grabbed the goals as Castletown A saw off Bacchas B 3-1.

In the PWC men’s Premier Division, champions Bacchas A made a winning start.

A four goal haul from Tom Wilson, an Andy Whiting double and one each from Tony Bentley-Roberts, Jamie Brown and James Wright sealed a 9-1 victory over Ramsey A.

Leading 7-1 at the break, the champions eased off in the second half.

James Aitchinson scored the Ramsey consolation.

Vikings A edged out Castletown A 4-2 in an exciting contest.

Ian Perry, Jonny Killey, Conor Byrne and Alex Birch were on target with the ever green Paul Kelly scoring both for Town.
