Details for Cringle Plantation round announced
The Winter Hill League is due to start on Saturday, October 24.
The opening round is a 4km route in Cringle Plantation, which organisers say is on well-worn tracks which will be fully marked.
They therefore see it as an ideal course for any newcomers to try hill running.
Registration will be at the main entrance gate to the plantation, from 12.15pm until 1.15pm.
The race will also incorporate the first leg of the 2015 Junior Hill Running Championship, for school years 8 and upwards.
The minimum age is 12 years old on race day.
Organisers also say parking is limited, so car sharing is strongly advised.
