Figures released for Prison and Probation Service
Probation and prison staff have taken more than 1,500 days off due to poor mental health or wellbeing in the last three years.
The information has been released in response to a Freedom of Information request.
The Department of Home Affairs has confirmed that 1,578 work days were ‘lost’.
It’s not stated how many staff took time off during this period.
