Island could reach 28 degrees Celsius today
Temperatures on the Isle of Man could reach 28 degrees Celsius today (25 June).
It comes as extreme heatwaves continue to cause widespread disruption across the UK and Europe.
Yesterday (24 June) - was the UK's hottest June day on record after a temperature of 35.8 degrees Celsius was recorded at Wiggonholt in West Sussex.
It passed the previous high, set in 1976, of 35.6 degrees.
In France more than 40 people have drowned in heatwave-related deaths - largely through going swimming in unsupervised areas.
Dr Ross Keat, a consultant with Public Health Isle of Man, told Manx Radio they're concerned about people jumping into cold water unprepared:
