Refurbishments include move to air-source heat pumps
Peel Cathedral has closed its doors until around Easter next year.
It's for refurbishments including floor flattening, and the installation of a new kitchen, toilets and meeting rooms.
Air-source heat pumps will fuel underfloor heating, part of the Cathedral's aim to be carbon neutral by 2030.
Worship will continue in the Corrin Hall.
Dean of the Cathedral, the Very Reverend Nigel Godfrey, says the new space will serve more purposes:

Wind farm debate to continue before committee
Call for compensation scheme for workers who become ill after contact with asbestos
Third candidate to stand for election in Douglas South
Manx 'highly important' part of the Island's culture and identity
