New restrictions imposed on who can fish Manx waters
There's concern in Northern Ireland that their fishing boats will be unable to operate in Manx waters due to new visa restrictions.
As of last month, foreign crew members from outside the Isle of Man who hold a UK skilled worker or transit visas are no longer permitted to fish within the Island's 12-mile zone.
The Northern Ireland Fish Producer's Organisation estimate this will impact on over two-thirds of employees on their boats.
Their Chief Executive, Dr Lynn Gilmore, is seeking a meeting with Manx Government officials to try to reverse the decision:
