Ramsey Town Hall has a coroner’s office once again.
The base of newly appointed Coroner for Ayre and Garff, Peter Carling, has been reinstated.
It had been closed for the past two months after the retirement of former coroner John Quilleash.
A temporary office was opened in Parliament Street in the interim.
Meanwhile, civic heads are continuing discussions with government officials in a bid to retain a civil registry in the town.
They say plans to centralise the service in Douglas are driven by modernisation rather than cost-cutting.
