Bad weather didn't deter locals from paying their respects
Huge crowds assembled today to remember the Island's role in conflicts past and present, despite the bad weather.
At Douglas cenotaph, the last post played before 2 minutes silence at 11 o'clock, in the company dignitaries and locals alike.
It was preceded by a service at St Thomas' Church on Finch Road, conducted by Archdeacon of the Island Andrew Brown.
Wind and rain meant the parade in and Douglas was cancelled, however plenty of people stood under the cover of the Villa Marina pathway as the two minute silence and wreath laying took place.
