Minister downplays potential competition
New rules aimed at making it easier to stage motorsport events in England have come into force on Monday, but the Island's economic development minister doesn't see it as a threat to the TT's success.
Changes in the law have given local authorities the power to close public roads and permit racing to take place.
The British government has touted it as a real boost for tourism.
But Laurence Skelly says the Isle of Man's reputation for motorsport remains unique, and staging international race meets is still a formidable task:
