People urged to consider emergency services access
People are being urged to enjoy today’s ‘snow day’ responsibly.
Police say they’ve had reports of quad bikes on the Mountain Road – somewhere that ambulances would struggle to access if there was an incident.
Officers are urging those out in the countryside to consider whether the emergency services could reach them if needed.
They’ve also asked younger people out on sledges, and making snowballs, to be mindful of others who are going about their business or who have no choice but to stay indoors.
