Johnston: Meat Plant is 'fundamental' to future of industry
Government must look at how it can support the Manx farming industry through an ‘incredibly difficult winter’.
That’s the view of Ayre and Michael MHK Tim Johnston who says more help is needed – especially in light of issues highlighted at the Meat Plant.
A damning report has highlighted a raft of issues at the government owned facility including the fact slaughter lines are not running anywhere near capacity.
