Crogga wants to drill without a 3D seismic survey
The company aiming to explore for gas in Manx waters is hoping it will be given permission to drill the first appraisal well without carrying out a 3D seismic survey in the New Year.
Crogga has been holding meetings with the Department of Infrastructure after applying to vary its licence for gas exploration.
It's understood to have been the sticking point which saw former Infrastructure Minister Chris Thomas sacked from the role earlier this year - the Douglas Central MHK has raised concerns over the plans saying any such exploration needs to be done 'properly'.
