The Manx Museum is holding a public lecture about Illiam Dhone next weekend, the man who many claim preserved the Island's independence.
Dr Jennifer Kewley Draskau, the author of the recent publication Illiam Dhone: Patriot or Traitor? will be giving the talk about the infamous Manxman.
Dr Draskau will explore whether Illiam was universally regarded a hero and patriot by the people of the day.
The lecture begins at 11am on Saturday 6 April - tickets are available at the Manx Museum Shop and online at manxnationalheritage.im
