Could be law by summer
Heterosexual couples could soon be able to enter into civil partnerships.
It's after an amendment tabled by Ramsey MHK Leonard Singer was supported as the Marriage (Same Sex couples) Bill went through its clauses stage in the Keys on Tuesday.
He's hopeful it will become law before the dissolution of Parliament in July.
Mr Singer says the change would be welcomed by the public:
