36-year-old denies attack
A man serving a sentence at the Isle of Man Prison has appeared in court charged with assaulting a prison officer.
Donovan Kitching appeared before High Bailiff Jayne Hughes at Douglas courthouse via live video link from prison.
The 36-year-old denies assaulting the officer on 13 March on B wing.
There was no bail application and Mrs Hughes remanded him in custody to appear again on 22 September.

UPDATE: Kitching was convicted of assaulting the prison officer after summary trial.
He was sentenced to six months custody to be served consecutively to his existing sentence.
No order was made for costs or compensation.
